FuelShare is a free, non-commercial community noticeboard. We operate as an intermediary platform only, connecting private individuals who wish to share travel costs. FuelShare is not a transport operator, rideshare service, taxi service, or hire vehicle service within the meaning of the Passenger Transport Act 1990 (NSW) or equivalent state and territory legislation.

Not a Transport Service

Ride and parcel arrangements made through this platform are private agreements between users. Drivers are not employees, agents, or contractors of FuelShare. Arrangements are made solely on a cost-sharing basis and do not constitute a commercial transport service.

No Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2, Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), FuelShare expressly excludes all liability for:

Loss, injury, death, delay, damage, theft, or destruction arising from any trip or parcel arrangement made via this platform
Disputes between users regarding payment, conduct, or the performance of any arrangement
The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information posted by users
Any consequential, indirect, or economic loss of any kind

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability for personal injury or death caused by negligence, or any guarantee that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for their own safety, conduct, and arrangements. FuelShare strongly recommends users verify the identity of travel companions, exercise caution, and review our Safety Guidelines before making any arrangement. Refer to your applicable state's civil liability legislation (e.g. Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW), Wrongs Act 1958 (VIC), Civil Liability Act 2003 (QLD)) regarding your rights and obligations.
